Notes: This is a small Plank stationary engine, just a little bigger (and possibly a little older) than Benchmark's Plank 425. They make an interesting comparison. Note the spiral spokes of the flywheel and the side opening for the burner. My guess is that this model would date from around 1910. It has undergone a 'heavy repair', receiving a new boiler barrel, safety valve, whistle handle, burner and chimney. The chimney cap was spun from brass especially for this engine. The final picture shows the state prior to restoration.
