Notes: A rare example of an SE1a, this was probably manufactured in 1978/79 and was the last variant of the SE1a before being phased out in favour of the new SP range of engines. It featured a sightglass and solid fuel burner.

Notes: This iteration of the simple SE1a represents the last version that could be bought. It exhibits a sight glass boiler and solid fuel burner tray. This engine actually dates from September 1978 and is possible one of the last made, it has never been steamed.
